Our History
Founded On Integrity
Having worked as an Engineer for a locally based global OEM, Jonathan identified a requirement for Subcontract Machining and Fabrication Services locally and throughout Northern Ireland. In 1997 he resigned from his position and founded SJ McAuley Engineering. Working in a converted farm building alongside an apprentice the business grew, and new equipment and employees were added.
Milestones along the way include the introduction of the first CNC machine, diversification into Tube Bending, purchase of Fibre lasers, provision of in-house powder coating services, and of course the purchase of the impressive manufacturing facility in Ballymoney.
Today the company occupies over 100,000 sq ft of modern factory space and has over 120 employees supplying products throughout the UK and Europe.
