Job Description

McAuley Engineering Ltd, is one of Northern Ireland’s major manufacturers of sheet metal and precision parts for various market sectors including Transport, Construction and Material Handling.  Working in partnership with Northern Regional College, we are inviting applications for Fabrication apprenticeships at level 2, and if successful progressing to level 3.

The qualifications

Level 2 Apprenticeship (possibility to progress to Level 3)

  • Minimum school leaving age
  • Should have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s grade C or above including English, Maths (not Ess. Skills) and another STEM subject, ICT or Computer Science being advantageous.

Offers of employment are conditional upon successful achievement of predicted grades.

The experience

  • Experience of working in a factory environment is desirable
  • Understanding of the importance of Health and Safety practices

The person

  • Understands the importance of professionalism
  • Displays an ability to communicate at all levels
  • Demonstrates a desire to achieve the highest quality of work
  • Thrives in a role which requires a high level of self-discipline and motivation
